Low’s Power & Light is a small local electrical contractor focused mainly on projects within eastern Ontario namely Brighton, Quinte West (Trenton), Belleville and Prince Edward County (the county).

Low’s Power & Light had maintained the Standing Offer Electrical for Canadian Forces Housing Agency at CFB Trenton for over decade by providing prompt, competitive and competent service.

Low’s Power & Light is a ACP1 contractor.

(1)The Authorized Contractor Program (ACP) provides a process for recognizing Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) compliant work performed by a contractor (having a defect ratio of <4%).

Low’s Power & Light carries 5 million in commercial general liability, uses only licenced OCOTmember trades people fully compliant with WSIB3.

(2)The Ontario College of Trades (the College) is an industry-driven, professional regulatory body that protects the public by regulating and promoting the skilled trades. One of the main responsibilities of the College is to ensure that individuals performing the skills of compulsory trades have the training and certification required to legally practise this trade in Ontario.

(3)Workplace Safety & Insurance Board is a government agency that provides no-fault compensation for Ontario workplaces covered under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997.

Low’s Power & Light is a provincially regestered electrical contractor thru ECRA4.

(4)As of January 1, 2007 no person shall operate an Electrical Contracting Business in Ontario without first obtaining an Electrical Contractor Licence issues by ECRA/ESA.As of January 1, 2007 no person shall assume the responsibility of a Designated Master Electrician for the carrying out of electrical work on behalf of an Electrical Contractor without first obtaining a Master Electrician Licence issues by ECRA/ESA.
